Shoichiro Iwakiri was born in in 1959. He is the author of In the margin of Autumn (Ed. France-do, 2001), Memory of Light falling through the leaves; Night of Chrysalis (Ed. Shichigatsu-do, 2005). He translated Gauguin, Noa noa, Ed. Chikuma-shobo; Casanova, La République mondiale des Lettres, Ed. Fujiwara. Masako Hayashi sings his poem in her CD En Prière. He made the Japanese script for the History of the Soldier of Ramus and Stravinsky. He teaches French literature at the International Christian University, Tokyo.
