VIVIAN LAMARQUE (Italy)

lamarqueVivian Lamarque was born in Tesero (Trent) in 1946. She has been living in Milan since she was nine, where she taught for many years. She has translated Valéry, Baudelaire, Prévert, La Fontaine, Céline, Grimm, and Wilde. She is a member of the Diaristica National Jury. In the magazine Sette she edited the weekly column Gentilmente then collected in a volume by Rizzoli. She collaborates with Corriere della Sera and she runs a regular column in TV Sette magazine. Her eclectic artistic activity ranges from poetry, for which she was awarded the Premio Viareggio prize in 1981, Premio Montale Prize in 1992 and Premio Pen Club Prize in 1996, to fairy tales and children's books.
