KIWAO NOMURA (Japan)

Poet in the frontline of contemporary Japanese poetry Kiwao Nomura was born in Saitama Prefecture in 1951, Graduated from Waseda University, he has published ten books of poetry including Kawanae(1987, Dried River,), Hanpuku-hoko(1992, Repeated roams), Tokusei no nai Hi no motoni(1993, Under the Sun without character), which won the Rekitei Shinei Prize, Selected Poems(1996), Kaze no Haibun(1999, Distribution of the wind), which won the Takami Jun Prize, New inspiration(2003), which won the Gendaishi-Hanatsubaki Prize. He also positively expands his activities into critical works, translation and reading performance.
